Ammarah had planned a beautiful wedding to take place at a beautiful venue in Cheshire, but all plans went out the window when corona came to town.
I had called all my brides during Spring, to see how they were doing. most were understandably stressed and upset, some were calm and taking it in their stride. Ammarah was one of the chilled brides and said Zehra whatever is meant to be, we’ll take each day is it comes.
In the end, Ammarah decided with her family to have her wedding at home. What I love about Ammarah is her attitude, she was calm and went with the flow for her wedding, which is what made her day even more beautiful.
It was refreshing to see Ammarah’s white and pink bridal outfit, a beautiful take on traditional design fused with modern colour tones. Her outfit was complemented by groom Subhan’s equally light toned outfit and opulent gold shawl (it’s not wonder their images have been going viral on instagram!).
For her decor Ammarah choselight ivory and pink fresh florals to adorn her home marquee, with cute Laduree macaroons for favours.
There were a lot of tears at Ammarah’s wedding. Bitter sweet, happiness mixed with sadness, from Ammarah’s dad’s speech to his first born child, to the slideshow featuring congrats messages from family and friends that couldn’t be present at the wedding because of restrictions. Everyone cried from the start of the wedding, the nikah ceremony right through to the speeches and the rukhsati. I’m happy to say that through all the tissues, Ammarah and Subhan, and their families equally had a fab day and laughed and smiled as much as they cried. | Here are some of my fave images from Ammarah and Subhan’s wedding and a beautiful clip feature film from talented cinematographer Farhan Unique Films.
