THIS STYLED BRIDAL SHOOT IS SOMETHING OF A SHOWSTOPPER, FEATURING A PROVENCAL INSPIRED LOOK COMPLETE WITH FIGS AND EUCALYPTUS, AND ULTRA-COOL SILVER AND BLUE TONES.
It’s the blog post you need to bookmark if you’re after a dose of sophisticated inspo brimming in neutral tones and exquisite detailing.
Taking place at the magnificent Delamere Manor in Cheshire – this highly sought-after venue is a dreamy one at that, with acres of land, a picturesque lake and a classically elegant interior to match.
Alongside some rather pretty florals and beautiful calligraphed stationery, not to mention floaty, chic gowns that are simply to die to for – look out for Barry the blonde horse, the perfect bridal companion, we think!
The suppliers were kept on their toes throughout the day, too. And five outfits, five hair and makeup looks, three table setups, two cakes and three sets of stationery later – we’re delighted to share with you the super stylish Insta-worthy results! Our florist – Sadauf from The Wedding Fairy – wanted to bring to life her vision of a timeless look, with some beautiful cool tones of platinum greys and dusty blues with figs, mixed berries, herbs and all year round floral sprigs which are currently trending for 2019.
LOCATION
It was set at the exclusive Delamere Manor in Cheshire, surrounded by more than 100 acres of countryside overlooking a magical six-acre lake. The bridal suite is a dream to get ready in, with large windows and an air of French styling. The location suited the neutral colour palette with the venue’s gorgeous grounds providing us with different areas to photograph in.
As the sun came out we were thrilled to have a surprise guest…Barry the handsome blonde horse who resides at the stables at Delamere Manor, who complemented our model Leela beautifully.
STYLING
Florist Sadauf used a mix of berries – black berries, blue berries and figs with deep blue tones against light green foliage of eucalyptus and a white tone floral palette of delphiniums, phlox, wax flowers and anemones.
For the bridal bouquet, we featured David Austin patience roses set amongst cinera, Nichols eucalyptus dried echinops, quick sand roses, dried flowers grass and dried clover.
With soft tones, Claire from Moon and Tide calligraphed some delicate pieces on linen paper, with an acrylic menu setting for the table.
Meanwhile, Kate from The Little Button Bakery in Cheshire adorned the three-tier cake with salix twine, wax flowers, anemones, figs, blueberries, blackberries, thyme and dried clover.
ATTIRE
Myself and Millie from The White Closet in Didsbury chose a delicate and sophisticated tulle dress, with a layer of delicate lace by Rosa Clara complemented by a perfectly grey silver toned pair of Manolo Blahnik’s to finished the look. We wanted a dress that wasn’t overly fussy and that would work with the florals, decor and details beautifully.
BEAUTY
Yasmin is a versatile makeup artist and is experienced in Asian bridal hair and makeup as well as the sophisticated ‘less is more’ bridal looks. She chose a tousled low bun hairstyle with a flawless base and a nude to bronze palette.
