A traditional Pakistani Wedding at Tatton Park
What a gorgeous day at Tatton Park! I can’t believe it’s been a year since Hena and Usama’s wedding.
Hena arrived at Tatton Park with her entourage of family and friends. It was so lovely to see her loving family and supportive friends around her before Usama arrived.
Hena chose a muted red colour for her lengha and decor in shades of cream, gold and light pink. The fairy lights complimented the blossom trees and ivory tones of the Tennant’s Hall.
Hena’s dad’s demeanour really touched me. At every moment he was making sure his girls were well, even though he was trying to make sure the guests were ok and the wedding was running smoothly. Hena’s parents made wonderful speeches. Her dad spoke in soft soothing, perfect Urdu (and yet again I was tearing up behind the camera). Her mum spoke of Hena’s love of the English language which had inspired her to become a teacher, and how particular she is about grammar. So I’ve proofread this post just for you Hena haha!!
We went out for portraits to enjoy some gorgeous weather and it seems the guests followed suit soon after the meal as Tennant’s Hall ahd emptied with us taking group photos outdoors and the guests savouring the green lawns.
I love shooting at Tatton Park (no, I don’t get paid to say nice things haha). Genuinely, it’s such a lovely venue to work at, not only as it’s close to home but the Events team are so lovely to work with. They make sure the bride is always happy, and everything is running smoothly, and always with a smile. Just the way weddings should be.
Here are some of my faves from the day.
