Over the years of photographing weddings, I’ve certainly seen (and shot) my fair share of speeches. And although you’d think I’d get bored of them, I honestly never do!

Somehow, they never seem get old. And I think it’s because they’re always so personal to the couple getting wed.

Isn’t it strange how when one thing in your life changes, it prompts you to take a look at other things? 

Surraya and Mohamed got married at Mercure Last Drop Village in Bolton. A truly scenic venue set in the hills of Lancashire. For an autumnal October wedding the weather was spectacular, with the leaves not quite turning to warm reds and browns.

What better way to spend a summer’s afternoon than in the Northern Quarter in Manchester.  Masim and Maham live close to Teacup, a cute tea shop, where they would often meet up making this a truly sentimental place to be.

Reminiscing over some of the lovely weddings I got to capture last year, this Arab wedding springs to mind.

Some beautiful details, amazing food and an elegant Macaroon cake of course (since the Bride has French heritage!)  I was truly honoured to be a part of this wedding, one of the highlights of my career.
