Evening Romance at Owen House Wedding Barn, with Iqra and Faizan

When I discussed the idea of a white wedding dress editorial style shoot with Iqra, she was over the moon. Having had a traditional Pakistani wedding, she had always dreamt of wearing white; so here was her chance to model yet live the dream of a white wedding, the perfect post wedding shoot.

With an extensive Pinterest board going, Sadauf at The Wedding Fairy began to plan the decor and styling for the shoot with hues of blues and ivories for the floral arrangement, and a mix of corals and yellows for the latter part of the evening. Iqra's mum set about tailoring Iqra's dress with a stunning lace fabric and tulle. No doubt it was a fun project for mum and daughter, and so lovely to see that kind of bond.

The day of the shoot was filled with beautiful details to photograph for the couple, from Faizan's luxurious Dunhill shoes, and an impressive IWC Schaffhausen watch,  to Iqra's Jimmy Choos, and her sparkling wedding rings. We were actually pushed for time on this shoot, but despite constraints everyone pulled together, with Sadauf and her experienced team working away, and Safira creating a beautiful floral headpiece in literally five minutes.

The venue, Owen House Wedding Barn, has so many pretty locations, including the hay stack which served as a lovely setting that gave us beautiful golden tones.

With less light that we anticipated on the day of the shoot, we had about 15 minutes outdoors to capture some portraits before the sun set over rural Cheshire.

Whilst we were outdoors setting up, Sadauf was indoors working her magic setting up what I an only describe as heart-stopping. A very grand table set, with candlebras dressed in coral and peach roses, blue delphiniums, dahlias, ranunculus and berries. The extensive collection of candles provided a very intimate ambiance, teamed with the copper charger plates and navy blue napkins.

I got to practise my hand a bit of calligraphy, and my 'Sparkle with love' favour in rose gold ink proudly sat beside Sadauf's wonderful place setting and the sparklers made a little appearnce later on in the shoot.  My thanks to my tutor, Claire at Moon and Tide, who was the master behind the stunning grey and gold calligraphy details featured at the beginning of this set of images.

Pre wedding and anniversary shoots are a great way to get intimate, romantic images. I hope this editorial has provided you with some inspiration.

Thank you to all the vendors that collaborated on this elaborate setup. My sincerest thanks to Kris and co at Owen House Wedding Barn for all your hospitality.
